My Background

I'm a self taught artist. I started painting in 2013 using a quirky naive style.

I was born in Halifax and currently live in West Yorkshire

My Media

I use mainly acrylic paint on canvas board, with lots of colour

​

My Inspiration

God's own country of course - Yorkshire.

Born and bred in Halifax, i find the contrast of its old industrial past and the stunning Pennine landscape very inspiring.

​

Contrary to its 'Dark Satanic Mills' reputation, I like to use colour to highlight its character and i try to bring out its humour by using a naive painting style.

​

Equally the Yorkshire Coast gives a rugged but quaint subject to paint.

I am now a Member of the ABNA.
