Typical Saturday Night out in a rainy 1960's scene.
Palins Club on the right, now Macdonalds. Many bands played there in the sixties including the Kinks. Young up & coming bands also performed there like the N Betweens (later to become Slade) and Mythology (later to become Black Sabbath).
Palins had a no drinking policy, so the Dutch Bar across the road and Union Cross were the popular haunts for a Pre gig beer.
